Philadelphia's March 19 elections will have the usual people showing up at local polling places: voters, officials and volunteers to help voters, an occasional media-type...and the Department of Justice.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice website (http://www.usdoj.gov/), Philadelphia has alledgedly violated the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the Help America Vote Act and the National Voter Registration Act. Therefore, DOJ "will monitor the election in the city of Philadelphia to ensure compliance with federal voting rights laws."
